6 Components of a Successful Logo for Custom Printed Tape
1. Simplicity
This could be the most crucial component of a successful logo. Apple, Target, and McDonald’s are just a few examples of logos that were created with simplicity in mind. You will still be able to identify them whether they are printed in black and white in a newspaper ad or in colour on your personalised packing tape.
A more straightforward logo will also be simpler to print and replicate when making packing tape. Your custom tape makes it simple and easy to read and see a logo.
2. Distinctiveness
While looking up other logos to get design ideas is a good idea, you should still aim for uniqueness.
Your custom tape will stand out from other packaging and become instantly recognisable with the help of a strong logo.
3. Color
If your logo isn’t going to be in black and white, you’ll need to think about the message you want to express with your colour.
Just don’t go crazy with the colours. Too many in a single logo might be difficult to create and raise manufacturing costs. However, a simple yet clever colour choice, paired with the colour of the tape you select, may make your customised tape stand out in a stack of boxes.
4. Typography
The other text that you’ll use on your website or in print should blend in with your logo. It’s time to look for a new font if they clash.
Compare prices. Select a typeface that is simple to read on printed tape. Make sure the font you choose fits your brand. A toy company and a law firm that deals with corporate tax law wouldn’t want to use the same font.
5. Versatility
As we mentioned earlier, a strip of packing tape with your company’s logo on it can act as a tiny billboard. What if, however, you wanted to display it on a real billboard? Maybe a brochure? A business card, perhaps? Your logo should be created to maintain its integrity whether it is printed on small or large spaces.
6. Graphics
When clients send us art files in the vector format for our packing tape designs, we are encouraged.
Vector and raster are the two types of digital art files. Raster images are made up of a grid of individual pixels that together form a larger image.
Because they provide the scalability we discussed above, vectors, which are single images, are perfect for creating logos. Both a billboard and a roll of custom-printed tape will display them nicely.
